Brendan Fraser has long been one of the most popular comic and action actors in Hollywood. Blockbusters like “George of the Jungle,” “Looney Tunes: Back in Action,” “The Mummy,” and the Oscar-winning film “Crash” catapulted him to popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In the early 2000s, however, a sequence of terrible occurrences forced Fraser to walk away from the spotlight.

Within a decade, he had divorced the mother of his three children, sustained serious injuries as a result of the stunts he performed during his career, and had knee and voice cord surgery. His mother passed away in 2016.

Fraser fell into a profound depression as a result of his problems, further jeopardizing his career.

However, in recent years, the actor has steadily made his way into our television screens. Fraser is presently starring in HBO’s Max action series “Doom Patrol” and has future appearances in Martine Scorsese’s “Killers of the Flower Moon” and Darren Aronofsky’s “The Whale,” both directed by A-list filmmakers.

Fraser met fans at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo (Calgary Expo), which is held annually at Stampede Park in Calgary, Alberta.

During the event, he held a Q&A with fans who were particularly interested in hearing about some of his more unusual works, such as “Encino Man,” “George of the Jungle,” “Bedazzled,” and “Monkeybone.”

At the expo, the 53-year-old actor also signed autographs, which led to a touching encounter with two admirers.

Last week, a TikTok user with the name “imani.goulet” released a video of her meeting with Fraser, which has received millions of views.

Fraser signs a Funko doll of Rick O’Connell, his character from the “The Mummy” franchise, during the exchange. Imani was astonished when the actor said her name correctly the first time because it is frequently mispronounced.

The two then became friends over a similar issue: their unusual names.

“I’ve had a lifetime of people mispronouncing my name. I know what it feels like,” Fraser tells the two women.

Imani’s buddy says something that plainly rips at Fraser’s heartstrings as the two depart the table.

“Thank you for making my childhood awesome,” she says. “And mine too, you’ve been so nice!” Imani chimes in.

“Thank you for making my childhood awesome,” she says. “And mine too, you’ve been so nice!” Imani chimes in.

With pursed lips and a fist bump, the actor reacted to their kind sentiments. Imani and Fraser had a photo op afterward, and Imani said the actor “winked” at her when she thanked him for the shot.

“Everyone says you should never meet your idols, but I did, and we almost cried talking to each other.” Brendan, thank you for everything!” Imani wrote in the description of the popular video.

Even though Fraser has been famous for decades, he still enjoys it when people show their gratitude, as seen by this video. Many people have rallied around him as he rebuilds his career over the last few years because of his down-to-earth demeanor and genuineness.

Fraser’s response to realizing that the internet was “rooting” for him went viral months ago.

Fraser became upset during a virtual meet-and-greet with a TikToker called Lindley after hearing her express that he has a large fans who are thrilled to see him act again.

“You’ve got this. You’ve got this,” Lindley assures him after the actor admitted he was “nervous.” “Just know that the internet is so behind you. We’re so supportive. There are so many people out there who love you, and we’re rooting for you. And we can’t wait to see what you do next.”

Fraser sits back and smiles, tipping his cowboy hat with an appreciative expression on his face. He could only respond with “Shucks, ma’am,” yet those two words conveyed a lot of meaning.

Brendan Fraser is a true gem, as seen by these fan anecdotes. See why the actor is once again going viral in the video below. If your browser does not display the video, click HERE.
