People have attempted to explain beauty using science for a long time. Doctors who operate in the field of cosmetic surgery, in particular. After all, they’re in the business of assisting individuals in achieving the “ideal” look, and it’s a flourishing business. The global cosmetic surgery industry is predicted to increase to $67.91 billion by 2030, from $50.27 billion in 2021. (1).

Dr. Julian DeSilva, a 2016 cosmetic surgeon, stated in a revived tale that Amber Heard is the lady with the most precisely proportioned face. Why is this a hot topic right now? We’re betting it has something to do with the actress’s current defamation suit against Johnny Depp, her ex-husband.

Amber Heard Has The Perfect Face, According To Science

Amber Heard has, mathematically, the most attractive face in the planet, according to science. However, that was in 2016, and it appears to alter on a regular basis. Amber dropped to third place in 2019, with Bella Hadid taking the top spot. (2).

In any event, this calculation is based on the Greeks’ ‘golden Phi ratio,’ which may also be applied to the world’s most attractive faces. The Phi ratio is 1.618. Dr. DeSilva discovered this when mapping out some of the world’s most renowned and attractive faces. Amber Heard’s was the one that came the closest to perfectly meeting this ratio. (3)

“(Her)eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and 12 critical marker points were evaluated and determined to be 91.85 percent of the Greek ratio of Phi, which is 1.618,” according to their research. (4)

Hers was followed by a slew of other well-known faces. Kim Kardashian came in second with 91.39 percent, followed by Kate Moss (91.06 percent) and Emily Ratajkowski (90.80 percent). Kendall Jenner came in second with 90.18 percent, just behind Emily.

“The Phi ratio of 1.618 has long been thought to hold the secret for beauty, but now with the computer mapping we can calculate how it applies to real women. After we had created the software and the algorithms for the key marker points on the face I thought it would be a good idea to test the system on some of the most beautiful women in the world and see if we could prove with geometry and science exactly what it is that makes a beautiful face. The results were startling and showed several famous actresses and models have facial features that come close to the ancient Greek principles for physical perfection.” explained Dr. DeSilva.

The Perfect Nose

Dr. DeSilva then utilized his findings to determine the ideal size and form for each face feature. According to their findings, the nose should have a target value of 1.618. Start at the centre of your brows and measure how long your nose is at its broadest point to establish your optimum nose size. Divide that number by the width of your nose at its broadest point to find out how close your nose is to the “ideal” nose.

The Perfect Eyes

Naturally, there are several factors that contribute to appealing eyes. Many people, for example, will have a preference for a certain color. However, the size, shape, and positioning of one’s eyes all play a role in how “beautiful” society considers one’s eyes. According to the Phi ratio, the distance between the eyes is particularly important.

The length of the eye divided by its distance should equal 1.618. The distance between the nose and the edge of the eye should be divided by the distance between the edge of the eye and the corner of the lips to equal 1.618.

The Perfect Lips

Lips that are plump and “kissable” have long been desired characteristics. There are a variety of cosmetic treatments and tactics available to assist people get larger, fuller lips. Some of them are harmless, while others are highly hazardous. What is, however, the optimal lip size? It follows the Phi ratio, according to science.

First and foremost, the bottom lip should be 1.618 times the top lip. The distance from the base of the nose divided by the length of the lip from end to end should also equal 1.618.

Amber Heard Has A Scientifically “Perfect” Face

Amber Heard won the all-around in terms of overall face if this were gymnastics. Hers was the closest to the Phi ratio. There were also additional winners when the individual events, such as face traits, were broken down.

Kim Kardashian took home the prize for best eyebrows, while Scarlett Johansson took home the prize for best eyes. Rhianna’s face was deemed the most beautiful, with Kate Moss taking first place for best forehead and Emily Ratajkowski taking first place for greatest lips.

Robert Pattinson Most Handsome

In 2020, Dr. DeSilva pronounced Robert Pattison to be the most attractive. Pattison’s face matched the Greek golden ratio of beauty 92.15 percent of the time, according to DeSilva. Second place went to Henry Cavil, then Bradley Cooper, and finally Brad Pitt. George Clooney had previously held the top slot. However, owing to the natural affects of age on the face, he is currently in fifth place. David Beckham came in seventh overall, but he took home the prize for having the greatest, most distinctive chin. (5)

Can You Really Determine Beauty Scientifically?

Of all, it’s all just statistics at this point. Is it really possible to state that Amber Heard is more attractive than Scarlett Johansson or Kate Moss? Some people may prefer one over the other, but that is a question of personal choice rather than scientific perfection. Aside from the face, there’s a lot more to human attraction than meets the eye.

Physically, there are several body types that people may favor over others. Personality, life objectives, interests, and, of course, unexplained chemistry are all crucial considerations. Science cannot accurately identify any of this. All of this is to argue that just because you don’t have a scientifically “perfect” face doesn’t mean you’re ugly or unlovable. Continue to improve yourself, your life, and your objectives, and you will attract the proper people.
